Excellent in every aspect!
This is such a beautiful watch to own and wear. And it looks far more impressive in the flesh than the photos on the site. I love the pitch-black dial, enhanced by the glossy effect applied to it, creating a stark contrast with the bright white Arabic numerals to allow for maximum legibility under all circumstances. Another characteristic that makes this watch unique and sets it apart from any other chronograph design I have ever come across, is the layout of the chronograph dials. The fact that they are not recessed nor emphasized by circular imprints but simply laid out on the face of the dial, was for me one of the strongest selling points of this design. This creates such an amazing 3D-effect allowing for unobtrusive presence. They will not draw your attention needlessly when telling the time but they become silently prominent when you need to focus on timing. The case employs a seamless design that ends in a beveled ring, complemented by a flat sapphire crystal. Considering that domed crystals and bezels are deal-breakers for me, this is close to grail-watch territory. Case thickness (13,5mm) and size (42mm) make it ideal for my wrist, ensuring just the right presence factor without ever becoming overwhelming. The Junkers logo at 12 o’clock and model name at 3 o'clock, accompanied by the date, are executed in such fine detail that enhances the aesthetics of the dial. The red elements used for the chronograph seconds-hand and the date indicator make it even more appealing and characteristically distinctive. This is a highly versatile watch that you can dress up or down, depending on the occasion and especially so when considering that the bracelet option I ended up choosing, featured quick-release springs so you can easily change to a leather strap, should you wish to. Last but not least, the watch was delivered in the space of 10 days after the order was placed. It was delivered in a nice package that ensured it would arrive unscathed without being affected by undergoing transportation. Top marks to the Junkers team for delivering the watch with the bracelet perfectly adjusted to fit my wrist, by taking into account the measurement provided in the comments. A stunningly good-looking watch with unique and distinctive features in its design, well made and impeccably finished. What more could you possibly ask for? (except for an JU 52 Aviator). Thank you Junkers!
